Establishing as one of the men’s game’s most effective defenders, Alastair’s strengths lie in his ability to read the play, his vertical jump and overall athleticism, making him a disrupting force in the defensive circle against any opposition.
Able to play in GK or GD, Al’s intense work rate pressures the most skilled opponent, forcing errors to win turnovers and create opportunities for the team to transition into attack.
To add to his list of 2025 accolades, Al has been named equal second place in the Netball Scoop’s Men’s Netballer of the Year list.
The longest serving current athlete in the side, Al heads into the South Africa tour with a total of 16 Australian caps for the top national team. Al also plays AFL
