AMMNA Championships – July 2021 Umpire Nominations open

The Australian Men’s and Mixed Netball Association Inc (AMMNA) calls for nominations from nationally badged Umpires to become a member of the National Pool of Umpires. National B, A, or higher qualification is required though consideration for C badge applications will be assessed on individual merit.

Umpires receive an excellent opportunity to umpire at the elite level and also receive high-performance coaching.

Umpires may be allocated a maximum of 2 games and one reserve per day during round games only. Allocations for all finals are based on performance as assessed by the pool of AMMNA Umpire Coaches.

All allocations are based on performance during the week and there is no guarantee of either the maximum number of allocations during round games or an allocation for the finals series.

Your application will be required to be endorsed by the state member organisation that you identify with (where you may have umpired M-League/similar). The member organisation will do this based on performance, teamwork and decision making.

244 – 270 East Parkway Corner Hampstead Road and, East Pkwy, Lightsview SA 5085

  • You can afford the expenses relating to your selection.

  • Withdrawal at anytime, other than due to injury, will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

If selected to the National Pool, Umpires are expected to attend their respective State’s training sessions and assist with pre-championship preparations as requested by the respective State body. This also acts as excellent preparation for umpiring elite competition.

AMMNA relies upon the generosity of its volunteers.  Each year, costs for accommodation, ground transport, catering for the week, will be quoted and according to the location to the venue, pricing and quality.  AMMNA does have the capacity to heavily subsidize each participating umpire who becomes a member of the National Pool:
