Men’s and Mixed Netball World Cup postponed
The Men’s and Mixed Netball World Cup Committee and Australian Men’s and Mixed Netball Association (AMMNA) regret to advise that the Men’s and Mixed Netball World Cup has been postponed due to the risks associated with COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
The Men’s and Mixed Netball World Cup was to take place this October in Perth, Western Australia.
Given the COVID-19 pandemic, and current recommendations from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Australian Government Department of Health around travel, immigration and quarantining, it was agreed appropriate make an early call to postpone the event.
The health and wellbeing of members of our organisation, the community and our netball family around the world were paramount in making this decision.
We ask that you take the necessary advice from your local health authority around good hygiene practises to prevent against infections and viruses, and heed social-distancing and self-isolating measures where applicable.
We look forward to updating you in due course with the new dates to stage the Men’s and Mixed Netball World Cup in Perth.
