Australian Championships event information

With the 2018 Australian Championships right around the corner, we’ve compiled vital information regarding transport to Genea Netball Centre, plus parking and further details about the venue.

Genea Netball Centre

There are no ATMs on site, but one is located next door at the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre. There is also access to ATM’s on Dawn Fraser Avenue and at The Brewery underneath the Novotel Hotel in Sydney Olympic Park.

The Huddle Café inside the venue accepts both credit card and EFTPOS payments. EFTPOS has a $10 minimum.

Genea Netball Centre is a non-smoking venue – this includes e-cigarettes. Designated smoking areas are located outside the venue and not within four (4) metres of any entrances.

Entry to the Australian Championships is $5 for an adult, $2 for people under 15 and free for people under the age of 5. These prices are for every day of the Championships, including Grand Final Day on Saturday April 7. Weekly passes are also available. All ticket purchases can be made at the venue via credit or debit card or cash, but not EFTPOS.

The best parking areas in order of distance from Genea Netball Centre are P3 (closest), P2, P4 and then P1 (furthest). You can view the parking map here:

There is no free validated parking available during the Australian Championships.  All teams and officials will need to park in P3 or P4 at a daily rate of $6. Parking tickets will need to be validated at the front counter of the Genea Centre. Tickets not validated will be charged the daily rate of $25 upon exiting the car park. This is only valid for one entry and exit – should you wish to leave and return on the same day, teams will need to pay for each visit as a separate validation.

Spectators are not eligible for daily validation.  This is reserved for players and officials only.

Please note that generally Easter Monday (April 2) has the most traffic with patrons attending The Easter Show.

There is also parking available at DFO Shopping Centre, which is a 10-15 minute to the venue. The first 2 hours are free but then will be charged after:

There is no parking available at the Tennis Centre.
