New Trans Tasman logo unveiled

The Australian Mens and Mixed Netball Association (AMMNA) and New Zealand Mens and Mixed Netball Association (NZMMNA) are delighted to unveil a new logo for the Trans Tasman Cup.

The logo will be used for the first time for the 2018 Trans Tasman Cup to be held in Adelaide next year.

AMMNA’s Marketing Engagement Manager Michael Hutchinson said the logo incorporated important elements, including an homage to the cup itself and the Southern Cross that features on both the Australian and New Zealand flags.

“Representing your country in sport is the highest of honours and it’s important that the Trans Tasman Cup is seen in a light as prestigious as the Constellation Cup or Bledisloe Cup.

The event needed a true branding that respects the history of the event and the fierce rivalry between the two countries.”

The biennial event was first launched in 1986 and held most recently in Wellington two years ago. Australia last hosted the event in Sydney in 2014.

An announcement regarding the 2018 Trans Tasman Cup dates and venue will be made soon.
