AMMNA unveil new Australian Championships logo

The Australian Mens and Mixed Netball Association (AMMNA) are ushering in a new era for the sport by unveiling a new, permanent Australian Championships logo.

Previously, it has been the responsibility of the host state to design the tournament logo each year. However, it was determined by the AMMNA committee that for continuity and progress into a more professional realm that its flagship event had a recognisable identity.

State associations will remain responsible for creating merchandise unique to the tournament.

AMMNA’s Marketing Engagement Manager Michael Hutchinson said, “It was agreed that it is really important for AMMNA to have an identifiable logo for the Australian Championships, particularly when it comes to brand recognition for fans and sponsors.

Having an Australian Championships logo also falls in line with the brandings of the M-League and Australian Sonix, which are easily recognisable and synonymous with mens netball in Australia.”

AMMNA President Grant Crocker believes the logo, “embodies the essential foundations of the Championships in striving for continual improvement in participation, skills and professionalism.”

The new logo, designed in consultation with design agency Bendigo Creative, will be used for the first time for the 2018 Australian Championships in Sydney.
