AMMNA’s Massive Grand Final Day
What a day for Men’s & Mixed Netball in Australia on Saturday April 2nd.
Over 1400 people crammed into the State Basketball Centre to witness some of the highest quality netball in the world today. Fans were treated to some willing contests in the preliminary finals, before the days feature contest, Queensland v Victoria to decide the premier Men’s Netball state. The pro Victorian crowd filled the stadium with oohs and aahs and calls of “held” as they provided plenty of encouragement for the determined Vics.
The Victorian boys were backing up after a solid prelim final against New South Wales the previous evening, and must have been nervous having lost to Queensland in the qualifying final.
Grand Final day capped off what was an incredible week for Men’s netball. The event had unprecedented public interest, with over 5,000 people attending over 7 days of incredible netball.
